Plans for rapid bus service along Burnet and N. Lamar

The Sustainable Neighborhoods meeting on Thursday, October 18, will feature planners from CapMetro showing off the plans for the new rapid bus service (MetroRapid) on Burnet Rd and N Lamar Blvd. Work on the Lamar line has already broken ground, and we will see more work over the coming year. Service is scheduled to begin in 2014 and will result in service that is generally twice as frequent and with fewer stops than the existing #1 and #3 buses.

The meeting is 7 to 8:30 PM at the Village Christian Apartments activity room, 7925 Rockwood.
