Writers Meeting for the Neighborhood Newsletter - Nov. 1st

Hi Neighbors,

I'd like to invite you all to our first Writer's Meeting, this coming Sunday evening, November 1st, 6-7 pm, at Genuine Joe Coffee.

The purpose of the writer's meeting is to generate new content ideas for the neighborhood newsletter, and to get a few more folks on board to submit articles on a more frequent basis. Whatever your passion or your area of interest is, we would love to hear about it and see how to incorporate your ideas into the newsletter.

Please feel free to share this invitation with your neighbors who are not on this email group who might like to be an occasional writer for the newsletter. Neighbors of all ages, from school age on up, are welcome to join us. Our neighborhood is very diverse in terms of age and race, and we would like our newsletter to be more reflective of this diversity.

Please call or email with any questions. I hope to see you there!

Crestview Pumpkin Carving and Pizza Party - October 2009

Here are some pictures taken of our CNA October general meeting.

North Austin Coalition of Neighborhoods meeting - Oct. 21st

Meeting - This Weds, Walnut Creek Library (6-8pm?)

Team,

I am going to guess the October and November meetings are going to be the most important meetings we will have this year.

October:
We are going to sit down and talk, informally, about what we feel North Austin's critical needs are, what NACN's goals are, and what we are going to do in 2010 and 2011 to make things happen.

November:

We are going to discuss how we can get our 501c status and we will vote on a formal list of needs to present to the City.

We will not be having a December meeting.

October 21st agenda:

1. Discuss Goals for North Austin

2. Discuss Goals for NACN

3. Discuss Sponsor Appreciation for 2009

4. Discuss November meeting - is Nov.16th good for everyone?

5. Discuss Nov 7th Clean Up

Regards,
Mary Rudig

Neighborhood Planning Contact Team meetings

Crestview is in the process of deciding what our planning contact team will look like. We're a long way from elections. The Team can be as few as 4 or as many as 2000. That all has to be decided through the writing of the by laws, which is what we are starting the work on, and will determine everything concerning the Team. Now is the critical time to contribute your input. Once it's established it will be difficult to make substantive changes especially if we weren't a part of the initial process.

Tuesday the 20th 6:30pm in the PEC building of St. Louis Catholic Church, room 201
Tuesday Nov. 3rd same time and location.
