Brentwood/Crestview Documentary Showing, 7/20/08 12:30pm

"A Community Mosaic," a documentary about the history and people of Brentwood and Crestview, will have another public showing on Sunday, July 20.

Faith Lutheran Church, 6600 Woodrow Avenue, is hosting this free showing at 12:30 p.m. in the church sanctuary (the door is marked "Worship Center"). The event will follow the church's praise service and potluck dinner, which begin at 10:30. Everyone is welcome to attend any or all events.

The film features history and early photographs of the area and interviews with neighborhood residents, including Jean Graham, who created the Wall of Welcome at Crestview Shopping Center. "A Community Mosaic" premiered at the dedication of the wall in March.

Crestview residents Susan and Rob Burneson produced the film for Violet Crown Community Works, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports community building and neighborhood enhancement projects in Brentwood and Crestview, including the Wall of Welcome and the Violet Crown Festival. Donations to VCCW are tax deductible.

We hope to see you there!
